Accessibility Statement for app.prodpad.com

Introduction

This accessibility statement applies to the app.prodpad.com domain. This statement outlines our commitment to accessibility and the steps we have taken to make sure that our product is accessible to all users.

Compliance status

There are three levels of accessibility compliance in the WCAG, which reflect the priority of support:

  1. A: Essential – If this isn’t met, assistive technology may not be able to read, understand, or fully operate the page or view.
  2. AA: Ideal support – Required for multiple government and public body websites. The A11Y Project strives for AA compliance.
  3. AAA: High-level support – This is typically reserved for parts of websites and web apps that serve a specialized audience.

ProdPad is currently partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard but we are aiming for full compliance.

Standards compliance

We want as many people as possible to be able to happily use our product and are committed to making sure that our product conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

We currently comply with the following :

  • Ensure that viewport zoom is not disabled (WCAG Reference: 1.4.4 Resize text)
  • Allow extending session timeouts – Session timeouts are configurable under Account Settings by account admins in ProdPad. (WCAG Reference:  2.2.1 Timing Adjustable)
  • We do not use decorative images to communicate information or text that is required to understanding the website’s content. (WCAG Reference:  1.1.1 Non-text Content.)
  • Make sure all animation obeys the prefers-reduced-motion media query. (WCAG Reference: 2.3.3 Animation from Interactions)
  • Ensure the color contrast set in ::selection CSS declaration is sufficient (WCAG Reference: 1.4.3 Contrast)
  • Ensure that the site can be rotated to any orientation (WCAG Reference: 1.3.4 Orientation)
  • We also try and make the language used around the app as simple as possible to understand. (WCAG Reference: 3.1.5 Reading Level)

In addition to this commitment, we have implemented an accessibility mode that we are updating to help us achieve the following compliances:

  • Make sure color isn’t the only way information is conveyed. (WCAG Reference: 1.4.1 Use of Color)
  • Ensure that links are recognizable**.** (WCAG Reference: 1.4.1 Use of Color)
  • Provides sufficient contrast between all normal-sized text and background to support high-contrast and inverted colour modes (WCAG Reference: 1.4.1 Use of Color)

What we’re doing to improve accessibility?
